Blooket Season 8: Every New Feature Explained (2026 Update)

Blooket Season 8 — What Actually Changed (And What’s Still Just a Rumor)

Okay so Season 8 is out. I’ve been messing around with it for a bit now and figured I’d just lay out what’s actually different, because half the “leaks” from the last few months didn’t even show up, and I’d rather tell you what’s real than pad this out.

The Stats Page Is Gone. There’s a Map Now.

This is the first thing that hits you when you log in. No more scrolling through a flat list of your numbers — now you’re on a map, moving through it as you level up. Sounds like a small thing, I know, but it changes the vibe more than you’d expect. Leveling up used to feel like watching a counter tick up. Now it feels like you’re actually going somewhere. Whether that sticks or gets old in a month, we’ll see.

Achievements. Finally.

People have been asking for this basically forever, and it’s here now. Play a certain number of games, hit token milestones, hit goals in specific modes — that kind of thing. It’s not some huge system with rewards attached to everything, but it gives you a reason to keep playing past just collecting Blooks, which is honestly all this game had going for it in terms of “long-term goals” up until now.

Two New Modes. One’s Still Rough Around the Edges.

Snake Escape is the big one, and it’s exactly what it sounds like — Snake, but Blooket’s version. You control a line, it grows, you’re trying not to hit a wall or yourself, and you’re answering questions the whole time to keep it going. Right now it’s tagged as beta, so if something feels a little off or unbalanced, that’s probably why. These things usually get smoothed out over a few weeks.

Claw Mania launched right alongside it. Less has been said about this one so far — players are still figuring out the mechanics, so I’d expect more detail to come out once people have actually logged real hours in it.

There’s a Dog Pack Now, and Everyone Wants the Robot Dog

New market pack, dog theme, a handful of new Blooks. The one people actually care about is the Robot Dog Chroma — it’s already turning into one of those pulls everyone’s chasing and nobody’s getting.

Is This Worth Using in Class?

If you host Blooket with students, yeah, probably worth trying out. New modes are basically free variety, and Snake is one of those games where you don’t even have to explain the rules — everyone already knows it. Just don’t build your whole lesson plan around Snake Escape yet. It’s beta. It might glitch. Have a backup mode ready just in case.

What Didn’t Actually Show Up

This is the part that annoyed me a little, not gonna lie. Mining Mania, Starstream Odyssey, Fish Tank Trouble, Blook Bash — all of these have been “leaked” or teased at some point over the last year, and none of them made it into Season 8. Doesn’t mean they’re dead. Blooket’s dropped stuff mid-season before. But as of right now, they’re still just names people are speculating about, not modes you can actually play.

That’s the update. New map, achievements, two modes (one still cooking), a dog pack, and a bunch of rumors that still haven’t panned out. Worth checking out, not worth rearranging your whole week for.

Details on beta gamemodes (like Snake Escape) and unconfirmed leaks (Mining Mania, Starstream Odyssey, Fish Tank Trouble, Blook Bash) are subject to change without notice — features can be delayed, reworked, or scrapped entirely before an official release. We’ll update this post as more gets confirmed.
