You open Blooket after being away a couple weeks and instantly something’s off. The Market’s rearranged. A mode you used every Friday just… isn’t there. Homework reports look like they got hit with a software update nobody warned you about. Classic Blooket. No patch notes, no email, nothing. You’re just supposed to notice.
So let’s actually go through it. What changed, what’s still just internet talk, and what’s probably showing up once the new season lands.

The Market Redesign
Open the Market lately and the packs don’t look like they used to. Gone is the old box style — now it’s a grid, each pack boxed into its own square with the price sitting at the bottom instead of wherever it used to be.
Two things actually matter here once you’re using it day to day. First, you can buy multiples of a pack in one shot now instead of clicking through one at a time — good news if you’re chasing a Chroma and tired of the repetition. Second, and this one stings a little: the instant-open-everything button? Gone. If you were the type to mash that and let a pile of results dump out at once, that’s not a thing anymore. Every pack plays out its own little animation now whether you’re in the mood or not.
Also the whole page matches the Blooks and Stats screens now, visually. Small thing, but it makes the site feel like one thing instead of three tabs someone glued together.
Still seeing the old layout? Refresh, clear cache, whatever. Blooket’s never been great about pushing redesigns to everyone at once — it trickles out.
Summer Shop, Back From the Dead
The Summer Shop showed up again this year after skipping the previous summer entirely, which honestly caught some people off guard. It doesn’t behave like the regular weekly shop. Instead of a reset every seven days, it just kind of sits there for months — June through September roughly — swapping its stock every few weeks instead.
Don’t go in expecting full Blooks though. It’s mostly parts and cosmetics, so more of a slow grind than a big win. Still, worth a look before it rotates out, especially if you’ve got tokens just sitting there doing nothing.

And to shut down the rumor mill for a second — no, there’s still no confirmed “Summer Pack” with its own Chroma and rarity tiers the way Spooky or Blizzard work. People keep bringing it up, probably because of how the Coco Cabana art looked, but Blooket hasn’t confirmed a single thing about it. If it happens, a new season is usually where that kind of announcement lives.
Homework Got Quietly Better
This one’s easy to miss unless you’re actually the person assigning it. Teachers can now set a question goal and just let students pick whatever solo mode they want to knock it out in. So instead of the whole class stuck grinding the same repetitive mode, some kids do the racing one, some do the puzzle-y one, doesn’t matter — they all hit the same target either way. Feels less like busywork on their end.
The reporting side got a real bump too. You can see breakdowns by question and by student now, not just a flat score at the end, which makes it way easier to spot exactly where a class is getting stuck. Plus users can even export all that as a spreadsheet if they want to actually dig through it.
Nobody’s making a hype reel about better homework analytics, I get it. But if you’re using Blooket as an actual weekly tool and not just a once-in-a-while treat, this is probably the update that saves you the most time.

Modes: Some Gone, Some Reworked
Total count right now sits at 27 game modes — 18 free, 9 tucked behind Plus. If you haven’t checked the roster in a while, a couple things changed.
Tower of Doom and Pirate’s Voyage are done. Not seasonal, not paused — fully retired, no way to host or play either one anymore.
On the flip side, a bunch of older modes got facelifts instead of getting cut. Café, Crazy Kingdom, Deceptive Dinos, Racing, and Monster Brawl all got visual touch-ups and smoother gameplay, plus better stat tracking on a few of them. Some new accessibility and host-control options snuck in alongside those too.
If your lesson plans lean on a specific mode, double check it’s still around before you build your whole class period on it. Blooket’s been trimming old modes faster than usual lately to make room.
Season 8 — What’s Actually Coming
Here’s what everyone’s really asking about. Blooket’s launched a new numbered season every single year since it started, and outside of one exception, they’ve all landed in September. Which means Season 8 is basically due any day now — but no, there’s no confirmed date floating around anywhere official yet.
Going off how past seasons have played out, here’s a rough sketch of what to expect: a new Class Pass with a fresh round of cosmetics and Blook parts. Probably at least one new game mode — and going by Season 7, don’t expect it all at once. Last time Blooket spread new modes out across a week, dropping Busy Bees, Zorblitz, Mini Mine, and Star Grazer one after another instead of all on day one. A new pack usually shows up in the Market too, since that’s basically tradition at this point. And there’s a decent chance another old mode or two gets phased out to clear space, same as what happened with Tower of Doom and Pirate’s Voyage.
None of this is confirmed, to be clear. It’s a pattern based on past behavior, not a leak. Your best move is just keeping an eye on the News tab in the dashboard — Blooket usually drops a “something’s coming” teaser a few days before the actual rollout.

So, Bottom Line
None of this stuff was ever going to get a trailer. Nobody’s hyping up a Market redesign or improved homework reports on YouTube. But stack it all together and it says something — Blooket’s clearly spending more energy right now on fixing the stuff teachers actually touch every day than on chasing attention with one flashy mode after another.
If you’ve got tokens sitting around doing nothing, now’s probably a smart time to spend them before pricing shifts with the new season. And if you haven’t poked around the homework settings lately, go look — it’s not the same tool it was a few months back.
Season 8’s coming. Once it actually lands, there’ll be a lot more worth talking about.
